A a\u00e7\u00e3o faz parte da investiga\u00e7\u00e3o sobre a exposi\u00e7\u00e3o da bandeira dos Estados Confederados do Sul dos EUA, um s\u00edmbolo historicamente associado a grupos supremacistas brancos.<\/p><p>A investiga\u00e7\u00e3o foi iniciada ap\u00f3s uma den\u00fancia formalizada pela Comiss\u00e3o da Igualdade Racial da Ordem dos Advogados do Brasil (OAB) de Joinville, que encaminhou o caso \u00e0 DEIC. De acordo com a OAB, a bandeira confederada tem sido usada por organiza\u00e7\u00f5es supremacistas e neonazistas ao redor do mundo, incluindo o Brasil, onde a Pol\u00edcia Civil tem realizado opera\u00e7\u00f5es para desarticular esses grupos desde 2022. Em 2023, diversas a\u00e7\u00f5es foram conduzidas no estado para combater essa rede de extremismo.
