O caso ganhou repercuss\u00e3o \u00e0 \u00e9poca, mas o autor n\u00e3o havia sido identificado.<br \/>Ap\u00f3s dilig\u00eancias no local, com entrevistas de testemunhas e identifica\u00e7\u00e3o do suspeito, obtiveram-se informa\u00e7\u00f5es de que o animal fora agredido pelo caseiro de um vizinho, pois havia invadido seu terreno.<br \/>O acusado foi interrogado e indiciado pelo crime qualificado de maus-tratos a animais.
